Mt. Pleasant Academic Summer Workshops
It's important for students to continue to practice academic skills during the summer. Are you concerned about your children losing ground during summer vacation? We are here to help students stay on track! Our Mt. Pleasant Center is offering the following summer workshops and programs:
K-1 Readiness
Every child is special and unique and develops at their own pace. However, there are certain skills that are essential for social and academic growth, development, and achievement in school. This workshop will provide opportunities for children to gain confidence, share, interact, and participate in school readiness activities. They will experience enjoyable activities to include social skills, creativity, reading and comprehension, writing, language and listening skills, and number sense.
Ages 5, 6. July 30-Aug. 2 – 10:00 - 12:00
Study Smart
This workshop helps students with practical study skills that improve note- taking, organization, memory, study strategies, test-taking, and time management. Activities will provide them with ways to understand, retain, and recall information necessary for them to do well, with less day to day stress.
