Prepare for a SAT or ACT Test at LifeManagement Center

SAT & ACT Tutoring  
LifeManagement Center offers SAT and ACT prep tutoring year-round. Tutoring is one-on-one and includes diagnostic practice tests and focuses on each student's individual needs. One-on-one tutoring allows students to fully engage in learning by receiving undivided attention. Thus, each student will not have to compete with others in a group setting and his/her voice will be heard. Tutoring sessions are catered to the student's individual learning style and will pinpoint the subject area(s) where he/she needs the most help. For example, if a student routinely excels in Language Arts but struggles with Math, the tutor will work with the student to improve his/her Math competencies and ultimately help him/her score higher on this section.

Our tutors and learning specialists will tailor a personalized plan that builds skills with Critical Reading, Math, and/or Writing as well as test-taking strategies.  Develop the skills and confidence you need to score higher on test day!

Create a High School plan

Freshmen Year

1) Enroll in challenging classes at your school.

2) Learn what SAT Subject Tests entail.

3) Read, read, read!

Sophomore Year

1) Try AP(Advanced Placement) programs at your school.

2) See if the PSAT is offered at your school. If available, take the test to see what your current score would be. 

3) If available, take SAT subject tests.

4) Uphold participation in school/volunteer activities to strengthen time-management skills.

Junior Year

1) Take the PSAT/NMSQT when offered in October. These tests will help prepare for the SAT. 

2) Send your scores to colleges of interest/available scholarship programs.

Senior Year

1) If unsatisfied with your score, you can take the SAT again.

2) Opt to take SAT subject tests to measure your knowledge of certain subject areas. These tests will highlight areas where you need improvement and repetition of these tests will ultimately reflect an improved test score. 

3) Send test scores to colleges and make sure to submit your information prior to application deadlines.
